Welcome!

Diane Keziah RobertsonHello, and thank you for visiting my website. My second book, The Lacemaker's Daughter, is nearing completion and is to be published June 1, 2012 by Cactus Rain Publishing, (www.CactusRainPublishing.com). It will be available for purchase on this site soon. You can read a synopsis or an excerpt to sample my writing style. I do hope you enjoy it.

My first book, Dolly Evans, A Tale of Three Casts, is about a 65-year-old "larger than life" character in England. It can be purchased on my books page. This is a tale of friendship, travel, comedy and even kidnapping. An excerpt and a synopsis of Dolly Evans, A Tale of Three Casts are included on this website.

Dolly Evans,
A Tale of Three Casts

By way of background, 'Dolly' was born after a wonderful vacation with my friend, Eva, in Cumbria in the Lake District of England. Ten days were enjoyed in the most beautiful cottage, each day filled with so much laughter. One of Dolly and Zolanda's adventures is true, though I am not saying which one. We visited Beatrix Potter's home, 'Hill Top Farm' near Sawrey, where Eva nearly bought out the gift shop.

We went to so many special places, but the one that stands out for both of us, has to be Castlerigg Stone Circle. What a magical place. While we were there, standing in awe amongst the ancient stones, a bomber aircraft flew slowly over us. A perfect juxtaposition between the old and the new. I would love to visit it again.

During that vacation, I wrote my 'Captain's Logs' and sent them home each evening. Each log detailed what we had been up to that day, accompanied by photos. Eva read them, and told me I should write a book. From that comment, 'Dolly Evans, A Tale of Three Casts' was later born.

You may get to know me a little better by reading my short biography. I love to hear from readers, so if you have any questions or would like to send me a note, you can do so on my contact page. Thanks for stopping by.
